KCC Bus Funding Reduction Consultation

The funding pressures this year on KCC's overall budget means that the Council are making some very difficult decisions about their services. To balance the budget KCC is considering making significant savings across a whole range of services. To contribute to the savings required the transport budget is tasked with saving £2.2m from 2022/23. Ending 55 contracts for bus services is proposed by summer 2022 to achieve the savings. The Bredgar bus service is one of the contracts that is planned to be cancelled.

KCC have launched a consultation on bus services to give service users and other interested parties the opportunity to tell them how the change could impact them. Responses to this consultation may influence and change list of services that get cancelled.
